+to reproduce the issue:
+- open attached board file
+- go to file -> import -> configure import schematics
+- there you see it uses the lepton import, with 8 schematics
+- at the bottom of the list, click "del last"
+- in the message log, the following error will be reported: "Error: can't rnd_conf_set() plugins/import_sch/args[7]: 7 is beyond the end of the array (1)"
+- go in the last text field containing the schematic path, and erase it
+- this seems to trigger a busy loop, and makes my window manager (X11 + i3) completely not interactible

+I was not able to reproduce this issue with a fresh board.
+this one only includes some definitions and netlist (nothing in the drawing area).
+
+I also tried to halt it in gdb, but even after 10 minutes of waiting, I was not able to switch back to the gdb window to halt it.
+the system is not frozen though. I can move the mouse and my wm status bar updates.
+I just can't interact with anything.
